Exeter’s Terrace restaurant and rooftop bar is now open, inviting people to enjoy stunning city and Cathedral views while sipping cocktails and dining on the very best in local produce.

Independently owned restaurant and bar The Terrace is the sixth restaurant to launch in the city’s new £12m dining destination, Queen St. Dining. It joins Turtle Bay, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Absurd Bird, The Stable and Comptoir Libanais, which are already open.

The stylish Terrace, spread over two floors of Queen St’s landmark glass building, is inspired by the most stylish venues from around the world. The first floor restaurant offers customers delicious food in lavish and luxurious surroundings. The restaurant will be transformed in the evening into an exclusive Club Lounge with live music and DJs.

The rooftop bar is no less impressive, featuring a daring menu of locally sourced food, cocktails and a range of carefully selected beers and wines.  There will also be acoustic music from around 10pm, every Thursday Friday & Saturday night.

The Terrace is owned by local entrepreneurs, Joe Hill and Steve Keough, owners of Exeter favourites Artigiano and Base + Barley.

Queen St. Dining is fast becoming the most talked about foodie destination in the South West for its eclectic mix of exciting brands, the majority of which are new to the region. In addition to The Terrace, the line-up features: Turtle Bay, GBK, Comptoir Libanais, Absurd Bird, KuPP and The Stable.

The £12m food quarter also introduces welcoming open air spaces designed especially for events, markets and entertainment.

Andrew McNeilly, Manager of Guildhall Shopping & Dining, said: “I’m pleased to announce the opening of The Terrace. This rooftop bar and restaurant, together with its Queen St. Dining neighbours, is set to transform the dining scene in Exeter. The Terrace is one of only two rooftop bars in Exeter giving foodies an experience that they will never forget. With fantastic views, and a state of the art fit out, it’s the perfect place to enjoy great food and drink.”
