Music fans of all ages are being invited to put their knowledge to the test in The Big Fun Music Quiz in Tiverton.

Teams of up to six people are being sought for the quiz, which takes place at Tiverton Golf Club on Friday 10 April (7pm for 7.30pm) and will raise money for local charity Hospiscare.

Jim Bray, social committee chairman at the golf club, said: “The quiz promises to be great fun for people of all ages and tastes.

“There will be popular music from the 50s to the present day covering all the main genres, including pop, rock, country, Motown, R&B, soul, reggae and punk.

“From Elvis Presley to Ed Sheeran, Dolly Parton to Diana Ross and The Kinks to Take That, there will be something for everyone.

“Please get a team together and join us for an evening of foot-tapping fun, raising money for a great local charity at the same time.”

The quiz will include a mix of audio tracks, where you’ll be asked to name the tune, artist or band, as well as trivia, cryptic clues and much more.

Entry is £5 per person and places are limited. Food will be available until 9pm.

To register a team, fill in a booking form at the club bar, call Jim Bray on 07425 133606 or e-mail him at tgcsocial@hotmail.co.uk.

Alternatively, call the Hospiscare fundraising office on 01392 688020.

Hospiscare provides high-quality care and support to terminally ill people across Exeter, Mid and East Devon.

The charity runs the Pine Lodge day centre in Post Hill, Tiverton, and is the Captain’s Charity for 2015 at the golf club.
