A new £120,000 X-ray machine has been fitted at the Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital.

The new machine ensures that the equipment at the Nuffield is modern and effective providing quick expert diagnosis for patients.

Stuart Gray, Radiology Manager at the Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital said: “We see over 7,000 patients a year in the diagnostic imaging department at the Nuffield and want to be able to give the very best service.

"Technology is always advancing, and we work hard to make sure our facilities are the best they can be. This new machine will help ensure that we can see people quickly and get their results to them without delay.”

Paul Taylor, Hospital Director at the Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital said: “Patient feedback has shown us that waiting times for appointments and diagnostic results are their main concern.

"We eliminate this worry by ensuring that, once a referral is received, our team endeavours to see patients for most X-ray procedures on the same day that the patient calls to book their appointment.

"Diagnostic reports are then produced and returned to the GP swiftly. Our team works hard to provide a seamless service!”
