2012 Round Table Fireworks Display wows the crowds

Westpoint Arena was heaving last night for the Round Table's annual Fireworks Display, which raises money for local good causes. And the crowds were not disappointed. This spectacular event has grown to become the biggest fireworks display in Exeter, and taken on a new dimension since moving to Westpoint three years ago.

Blessed with a clear night, everyone was dressed for the cold, but warmed by the atmosphere. From the food stalls to the fairground, this had all the ingredients of a recipe for success. However, naturally it was the explosive fireworks display that was getting everyone buzzing. You could not fail to have been impressed by the display, provided by Firemagic (UK) Ltd.

In 2012/13 Round Table is helping raise awareness of  Sparks, a children’s medical research charity dedicated to funding and championing pioneering research into a range of conditions affecting babies, children and mums-to-be.

Each year in the UK, over 3,000 babies die before their first birthday and one in 30 are born with a condition which may affect them for the rest of their lives.

Since 1991, the charity has committed over £22 million into pioneering research projects across a wide spectrum of medical conditions including childhood cancers, cerebral palsy, premature birth and spina bifida.

Last night The Exeter Daily team was on site in force to meet and greet visitors and enjoy this spectacular family event.
