Police appeal for witnesses to attempted robbery in Exeter

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following reports of an attempted robbery in Exeter.

The incident is reported to have happened on Tuesday 30 October between 5.30pm - 5.45pm in the area of Ferndale Road and Sydney Road, St Thomas.

Three young female victims were approached by a male who demanded money from them. The male stated he had a knife however no knife was seen. The male assaulted one of the victims and the walked off empty handed in the direction of Barton Fields.

Description of the male was that he was aged in the region of 16 to 18 years, around 5ft 3ins of a skinny build and pale skin with freckles, he was wearing a black puffa style jacket with the hood up and dark jogging bottoms and black trainers.
