Devon Chamber of Commerce Awards 2016
Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre, City College Plymouth, Ashfords LLP, Cornwall College Business and Redrok have signed up to support the Devon Chamber of Commerce Awards for 2016.
Having been introduced in 2015 to celebrate the success of Chamber Member companies in the county, the Awards have returned for 2016, and are now open for entries, with companies vying to win a ‘Golden Ticket’ to the glittering black tie awards ceremony in September.
The Devon Chamber of Commerce Awards aim to recognise member involvement and engagement with the Chamber and the wider business community. Sponsors Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre, City College Plymouth, Ashfords LLP, Cornwall College Business and Redrok UK have signed up to support the Awards for 2016, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the local business community and celebrating the many successes of Chamber members in the county.
George Cowcher, Chief Executive of Devon Chamber of Commerce said: “The Chamber would like to thank Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre, City College Plymouth, Ashfords LLP, Cornwall College Business and Redrok UK for supporting the Devon Chamber Awards 2016. In light of the recent political upheaval and uncertainty felt across the business community awards and occasions that celebrate the positive work being done across the county are incredibly important. The Chamber will continue to champion businesses in the county, representing Devon’s business views at a national level via the British Chamber of Commerce network and lobbying to improve conditions to make Devon a great place to live, work and do business.”
This year’s Devon Chamber Awards will be celebrated at a Black Tie event at The Duke of Cornwall Hotel, Plymouth on Friday 16th September. Aiming to build on the success of last year’s fun-filled event, this year’s awards ceremony will have a Willy Wonka theme and include entertainment and a number of surprises to add to the celebrations.
James Heath, Partner and Head of Plymouth office at Ashfords LLP, said: “Ashfords is delighted to be sponsoring this year’s Devon Chamber Awards. As sponsors of the 'Business Person of the Year' category we’re pleased to be demonstrating our close relationship with the business community.”
The Devon Chamber Awards 2016 are open for entries until Friday 29th July, and this year include a number of new categories that are linked to the national British Chambers of Commerce Awards. Entry is open to members of Devon Chamber of Commerce and its Affiliate Chambers in Brixham, Ivybridge, Liskeard, Newton Abbot, Saltash, Tavistock and Torquay.
