Three appliances from Middlemoor and Danes Castle were mobilised to reports of a laundrette on fire in Richmond Road, Exeter.

On arrival crews made forced entry and discovered a fire in the vertical shaft to the rear of the property.

Crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one safety jet, 135 ladder, two short extension ladders, one thermal imaging camera, one saw and small tools.

The electrics were also isolated.

Crews spent a period of time cutting away and damping down to make safe.
