Man charged with murder following Exeter death

A man was last night charged in connection with a death of a 47-year-old man in Exeter on Friday.

Delton Jones, aged 19 from Burleigh Mews, Liverpool has been charged with murder and will appear at Exeter Magistrates Court today (21st March) at 10am.

Officers were called to Bridge Court, Exeter by ambulance staff, just before 1.50am on Friday 17 March, following a concern for welfare of a man.

The 47-year-old man, originally from Liverpool was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Detectives continue to make enquiries in and around the Colleton Crescent area of Exeter and remain keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed a disturbance on the morning of Thursday 16th March, or anyone who may have information that could assist with enquiries.
