New research carried out on behalf of the UK’s second largest Will writing company has revealed that more than 74,000 adults in Exeter do not have a will. FreeWills.co.uk is offering all adults in Devon the opportunity to create a free will online to try and address this crazy situation.

The University of Exeter has joined an international, research consortium which aims to improve how obese people will respond to treatment, and who is most at risk of developing complications.

SOPHIA (Stratification of Obese Phenotypes to Optimize Future Obesity Therapy) is a new £14 million EU-supported international research consortium, which is launched today. SOPHIA includes twenty-nine leading partners from civil society, academia and industry in 12 countries.

Taylor Wimpey Exeter has helped Cranbrook youngsters get more in touch with nature by delivering a load of topsoil to St Martin’s C of E Primary School.

Prior to the lockdown restrictions the site team at Cranbrook donated earth normally used for gardens and open spaces to help refill raised beds in St Martin’s forest school area, as well as some large planters. A comprehensive series of improvements for walkers and cyclists will be introduced as soon as possible, Devon County Council has confirmed.

Devon charities scoop share of £1million fund

11 charities based in Devon have received donations of £1,000 each as part of the Movement for Good awards.

The awards, set up by specialist insurer Ecclesiastical, will see a total of £1million given to charities across the UK this summer. Members of the public were invited to nominate causes close to their hearts, with 500 awards of £1,000 available for donation.
