Charity campaigners in Exeter call for an end to fox hunting on National Trust land

Campaigners from the League Against Cruel Sports took to the streets of Exeter on Wednesday to call on the National Trust to stop licensing ‘trail’ hunting on its land.

Volunteers and staff from the leading national animal welfare charity, including one in a fox costume, gathered on the High Street to urge the public to take action and sign up to its National Trust campaign .

A local U13’s rugby team can smarten up after matches thanks to new match dinner shirts from funding awarded by South West Water.

Exeter Athletic RFC is an amateur rugby club based in Clyst St Mary which formed in 2018 from the merger of Exeter-based clubs Wessex RFC and Exeter Youth RFC.

Exeter School is delighted to welcome Paralympian David Hill to coach competitive swimming squads this year.

David is a two-time Paralympian in swimming and triathlon and world and European medallist in swimming.

Graffiti on the rise in Exeter

Graffiti is on the rise in Exeter, with a councillor slamming the “idiots” responsible.

The council received more than 1,100 reports of graffiti between 1 April and 16 August – an average of eight a day. It’s meant that demand for the city council’s removal service has “remained high,” members of the strategic scrutiny committee have been told.
