In a period of economic turmoil, rising interest rates, and 40-year high inflation rates, it's no surprise that more and more Brits are now looking abroad for fresh opportunities.

That said, options are much scarcer than ever before for UK citizens. Of course, the main reason for this is Brexit, as Brits now require a visa to live in any of the 26 EU member states, as well as EEA countries. In addition, traditional UK emigration options such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the US have also not gotten any easier.

While a handful of EU countries are offering some...

He's been taking significant chunks out of rivals across Europe ever since he arrived in Westcountry waters back in September, but Exeter's South African Shark, Jacques Vermeulen, still believes there is more to come from him as he continues to make his mark with the Chiefs.

As one of a handful of new recruits brought to Sandy Park by Director of Rugby, Rob Baxter, last summer, the imposing 24-year-old forward has certainly been creating waves with his all-action displays.

Brought in on a three-year deal, Baxter once again appears to have hauled in another prized catch with...

Devon County Council is due to host representatives from six European countries at the beginning of July, as part of a project which aims to reduce food waste, from producer to plate, as well as influence future policy.

For every 2 tonnes of food eaten in the UK, 1 tonne is wasted - 10 million tonnes in total every year. In Devon, food waste makes up to 24 per cent of a household dustbin, costing £3.3 million to dispose of and the average household wastes up to £700 throwing food away each year. The cost of food waste to the UK’s hospitality and food services industry is estimated...

Europe title next on Rowe's check list

Exeter Rugby Club chairman and chief executive Tony Rowe OBE believes the Chiefs can now go on to conquer Europe after they lifted English rugby’s top prize with victory in Saturday’s Aviva Premiership Final against Wasps.

Rowe watched on as Rob Baxter’s side produced a lung-busting display to claim the crown 23-20 following extra time at HQ.

Fly-half Gareth Steenson, whose deadly right boot kicked the Devon club into the top flight back in 2010, was again the hero, slotting a last-gasp penalty to ensure the title headed back to the Westcountry.

An emotional Rowe...

Polling stations across Devon have opened in a historic referendum on whether the UK should remain a member of the European Union or leave.

The referendum ballot paper asks the following question: "Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union?"

Whichever side gets more than half of all votes cast is considered to have won.

A YouGov poll for The Times gave Remain a lead of 51 to 49. FTI Consulting gave Remain the edge by 51.4 per cent to 48.6 per cent once 'don't knows' are taken out.

Opinion polls in Europe show that a vast majority would prefer Britain to stay in the EU.

They see Britain as a strong partner in international affairs and an important voice when it comes to taking level headed decisions in Brussels.

Many feel that Europe would be weaker on the world stage and Britain´s influence on European trade regulations would diminish creating new trade barriers for Britain.

Europeans are therefore hoping that voters in the UK wanting to stay in Europe will make use of their right to have a say in this matter and go to the polls on 23 June...
