Eighteen years after the first ANC government in South Africa, poor rural areas are still reeling from the effects of HIV/AIDS.

Jane Habermehel will lead a discussion on how far the legacy of white supremacy has inhibited the cultural and political development of Black South Africans.

This was the focus for Jane’s MA thesis at Goldsmiths College, London University, completed autumn 2012.

Staff from Ashfords Solicitors are supporting Cervical Cancer Awareness week this week by cycling 1,000 miles - without leaving their offices. 'Naked Ladies' event to raise funds for Carousel Toy Library

Parents from West Exe Children’s Centre are organising a fundraising evening with a difference in aid of Carousel Toy Library, which provides a wide range of good quality toys for children to take home and play with for a week or two.

The toy library, part of the local Merry Go Round charity, faces closure after losing its main funding but families are determined to keep Carousel up and running as it provides a fantastic service for children across the west side of the city.

Watch the premiere of bite-sized films scripted, acted and directed by young people and their families working with MED Theatre.

Filmed in the atmospheric setting of St Nicholas Priory, they were inspired by RAMM’s Elizabethan collections. Try on Tudor costume and throw Shakespearian insults at each other.
