InExeter, the business improvement district for the city, is thrilled to unveil plans for the installation of two new ‘parklets’ for the city centre. The Parklets have received £50,000 from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and are being commissioned by InExeter . The Tesco Digby store in Russell Way could soon be home to a new drive-through McDonalds.
But the fast food giant’s application to Exeter City council has already attracted protests on the grounds that it will lead to extra traffic and potential anti-social behaviour.
