More people than ever visited the Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink in Northernhay Gardens and Exeter Castle from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 April to enjoy the region’s best food, drink, producers and chefs and celebrate the Festival’s 10th anniversary year. The Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year from the 26-28 April. To celebrate Michael Caines, Festival Co-Founder met with a selection of Festival producers to raise a toast to a decade of celebrating the very best of South West produce.
The inaugural St Thomas Community Festival will take place in and around St Thomas Pleasure Grounds on Saturday 14th September 2013. The festival is the brainchild of the recently formed St Thomas Community Association (STCA) and is intended to be a celebration of the St Thomas area as a vibrant, diverse and exciting part of the city.
The organisers hope that the event will build community cohesion, bringing together residents of all ages and backgrounds in a celebration of the variety of sporting, creative and musical talents that flourish in the area.
I've been hearing rumblings for months about the Exeter based female comedy team O'Shea & O'Gaukroger, but they never seemed to be in their hometown long enough for me to catch the show. Last night the stars aligned and I was able to see them at The Rusty Bike during their stop as part of The Exeter Ignite festival. Now I get it! These two are original, energetic and genuinely funny. They utilise a combination of character sketches, topical songs, ridiculous poetry, and audience involvement to breeze through their face paced hour long act. Vibraphonic returns to Exeter to celebrate all things diverse and progressive in reggae, jazz, hip hop, dub step, soul, funk, blues, drum 'n' bass, electronica and urban music.
This year’s line-up includes dub Mafia, Roller Trio & Get the Blessing, Tommy Emmanuel & Martin Taylor, Get Rich Quick, Culture and Ska Cubano, with many more artists performing.

Sidmouth Science Festival aims to raise awareness of how science affects our everyday lives by integrating art, music and drama with serious scientific and technological talks. There will be events and activities for schools, individuals and families as well as those looking for stimulating debate on scientific subjects.
