The amazing chocolatier returns with his tasty team from Pocketwatch Theatre who have affection for perfection in confection! There is plenty to see and you can discover the science behind sweets and chocolates. Don’t forget the castle is open on Saturday 4th April.

This event is included in a child's standard admission. (Children returning with a free return ticket or a discounted ticket may take part in our themed activity for £2.50)

Wondering how you're going to keep the kids amused during the half term holiday? We've come up with a few suggestions here:

Felting Workshop Exeter Cathedral Make a countryside scene or design your own shapes and outlines for your felt square. Your finished product could be used as a wall hanging or cut up to create a broach, finger puppet or maybe a pencil case. Limited spaces, booking only. £4 for the full session (payable on arrival). A host of opportunities to explore Devon the naturally healthy way are on offer during February half term, giving people the chance to take a deep breath of fresh air and make the most of Devon’s fantastic woodlands, parks and urban green spaces, moors and coasts.

Explore Devon is a new website packed with activities and places to go during the February half-term, and ways to entertain the children; offering the chance to go outdoors and get muddy, build a den, collect bark rubbings, climb a tree or play hide and seek.

Half-term fun at Castle Drogo

There’s lot’s going on at Castle Drogo this half-term – from following a nature trail to building a home for nature.

“Castle Drogo and the surrounding 700 acre estate is the perfect place to explore, get muddy, jump in a puddle and build a den,” says Visitor Services Assistant, April Braund.

Every day, from Saturday 14 to Sunday 22 February, 11am-4pm, families can follow a nature trail through the grounds to discover more about the wildlife that lives around the castle. The trail costs £1.50 and includes a prize at the end.

Get creative at Knightshayes this half-term

Knightshayes, the National Trust property on the outskirts of Tiverton, has teamed up with the education organisation Daisi to provide fun and thought-provoking arts activities for families this February half-term holiday. Knightshayes has become a heritage partner to the Daisi project ‘Remembering the First World War: what it means to us’. This commemorative project, funded by a £34,800 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, provides exciting workshops which enable families and young-persons community groups in Tiverton to explore local stories from that time. Dinosaur on the loose at Devon’s Crealy

A dinosaur is on the loose at Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park. The life size dinosaur has escaped from the Dino Jeeps ride and is on the rampage at the Park. Guests are invited to help the Crealy Ranger find the prehistoric beast during February Half Term. (14 -22 February).

The escaped dinosaur has left a trail of destruction behind her which means there’s no shortage of clues to locate her whereabouts. Courageous explorers are invited to help find the roaring beast and those who dare to get close enough will be in for a thrill of a lifetime.
