Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service has been awarded a £390,000 government grant to install an electric vehicle charging network across the majority of its buildings.

High-speed fibre broadband will be available to 44,000 Devon and Somerset homes and businesses within four months.
Connecting Devon and Somerset today takes a major step forward in the £94 million project to bring superfast broadband to rural areas by announcing the next communities set to benefit from the programme.
By the end of March 2014, fibre broadband will be available to a further 31 communities*. This extends the number of homes and businesses that are able to benefit from the programme to 44,000.

Mobile phone network EE will bring 4G mobile broadband to Exeter before Christmas.
EE is the first mobile network to bring 4G to Exeter and will see customers get speeds up to five times faster than the current 3G network.
