Today (Sunday) the Chiefs face London Irish at the Madejski Stadium (3pm) looking to get their campaign firmly back on track before they break for the next stages of European and LV= Cup battle.

Baxter sings Lewis's praises

Rob Baxter believes Dave Lewis will get his chance to have a ‘big say’ on how the Exeter Chiefs will go over the remainder of the season.

On the day the 25-year-old committed his future to the Aviva Premiership club for the next two years, the Chiefs head coach gave the talented scrum-half a ringing endorsement of the quality he brings to his side.

A pre-season elbow injury sustained at Cardiff Blues meant Lewis was forced to sit out much of the opening half of the season, but now fully fit the former Gloucester back is looking to help the Chiefs kick on.

“Dave’s...

With his contract set to expire at the end of the current season, head coach Rob Baxter has wasted little time in making sure he has the services of the talented 25-year-old for the next two years.

Since arriving from rivals Gloucester at the start of last season, Lewis has been an integral part of the Chiefs make-up and helped the Devon outfit secure their first-ever piece of silverware when they won the LV= Cup.

Although an elbow injury sustained in pre...
