Learn to Play Day - a free national event to encourage everyone in the UK to start making music - is coming to Devon this March.

Supported by Jools Holland OBE, and run by charity Music for All, the 2020 Learn to Play Day will take place on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th March, and will see music shops, teachers, venues and schools throughout the county partner with leading musical instrument brands to offer thousands of FREE music lessons.

Knight Frank’s Bath, Bristol, Exeter and Sherborne offices, in conjunction with the Knight Frank Country Department, handled the sales of more properties in excess of £2 million than any other year on record in 2019.

Big Energy Saving Week kicks off in Exeter

Exeter residents are being urged to look at their energy bills this week, as part of national Big Energy Saving Week (20-26 January 2020).

The week is aimed at encouraging people to save money simply by switching their energy provider.

Police appeal after woman sexually assaulted on train in Exeter

British Transport Police have released a CCTV image following a report of a sexual assault on a train between Digby and Sowton and Exmouth railway station.

The incident happened between 5.45pm and 6.10pm on Friday 27 December.

A man is reported to have boarded a train at Digby and Sowton station before standing behind a woman and touching her inappropriately.

Officers would like to speak to the man in the image who may have information that could help their investigation.

Work starts on new Sandy Park Hotel

Work has today officially begun on the new multi-million pound Sandy Park Hotel.

The state-of-the-art hotel is the next stage in the development plans of Exeter's award-winning Sandy Park complex, which is home to Gallagher Premiership Rugby club Exeter Chiefs, and the region's premier Conference & Banqueting venue.
