The ICE Awards, Exeter, is now in its fourth year of celebrating the most Inspirational Children in Education.

The winners were aged between 9 years and 18 years old, with the majority coming from schools in the the Exeter area (list below).

The purpose of the ICE Awards is to celebrate the unsung heroes in our schools, and the winners this year were made up of students that had either achieved something unique, been an inspiration throughout the school, shown outstanding generosity or kindness in their community, overcome adversity or shown courage through life’s situations.

West Exe School, Exeter, was once again transformed into a glitzy Hollywood style occasion, ready to receive this years excited nominees, accompanied by their families, teachers and friends. The winning nomination stories were read out by tutors and head teachers, with 16 schools awarding 19 students in both primary and secondary ages.

The event was hosted by local personality Adam Moran and ICE worker Sally Naylor, who spent time interviewing each winner on stage, giving everyone a chance to hear more of their inspiring stories. Each winner received a bespoke award along with a goody bag filled with donations from our sponsors. The ceremony was an encouraging testament to young people and their ability to overcome and achieve great things. But also a recognition for the teachers, families and businesses that work hard to support them wherever they are in life.
