Taunton Leisure – Exeter short-listed in Great Outdoors Awards 2018
TAUNTON Leisure – Exeter has been nominated by the general public for the national Great Outdoors Awards 2018 this month (October 2018).
The outdoor clothing and equipment specialist, which is on Fore Street, has been put forward by its customers for Independent Retailer of the Year.
Store Manager, Nick Baron said: “Thanks to all our wonderful customers, we’ve been short-listed for The Great Outdoors Awards 2018 in the Independent Retailer of the Year category.
“We’re absolutely delighted to have been nominated for this award and are passionate about what we do. The award organisers wish to celebrate the very best of the outdoors from useful walking apps, and new products, to tea rooms that deliver great sustenance and customer service.
They received nominations from the public earlier in the year and narrowed down the nominees to create 13 shortlists.
Voting close on October 31, 2018 and is free to members of the public. The finalists will be those who receive the most public votes.
Taunton Leisure has been helping its customers get the right clothing, footwear and outdoor leisure equipment for more than 40 years.
From walking boots to climbing shoes or tents to outdoor cookware, it supplies more than 3,500 products online or in-store and has friendly knowledgeable staff on hand to offer expert advice too.
Customers travel specifically to visit the store as it is well-known and respected for its specialist expertise and skills. It is particularly known for its climbing know-how and has team members who are experienced in wild camping and bush craft.
It partners with climbing and mountaineering organisations and, also, has an extensive Tent Showroom covering more than 3,000 sq/ft.
