Rebecca is Executive PA Awards runner up

After just one year in her role at Michelmores, PA Rebecca Eccles has been named 'second runner-up' in the 'Newcomer of the Year' category at the Executive PA Magazine Awards 2014.

The annual awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of the UK's top PA talent across four categories, with this year's winners and runners-up announced at a Gala Dinner at the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden.

Rebecca, who joined Michelmores in 2012 as an apprentice in the Post Room, becoming a Trainee PA in 2013, had to demonstrate her skill and knowledge through a three-stage application process – to secure her place in the first shortlist of 20, and then the final selection of six contenders.

Collecting her award at the Gala Dinnner on 8 October 2014, Rebecca was joined by three Michelmores colleagues and two members of the Exeter PA Network – which she manages, to celebrate her achievement.

Commenting on the accolade, Rebecca said: "Just making it down to the final six was a great feeling, but I'm absolutely thrilled to have come away with an award at the end of the evening.

"Taking part was a great opportunity, and I'm grateful to my team for all their support over the last year. The awards evening was great fun and I hope that we have the chance to represent Michelmores again next year."
