Solicitors support sizzling fundraiser for local cancer charity

On Thursday 3 April, Devon-based law firm Gilbert Stephens LLP will once again play host to the Great Devon Breakfast in aid of local cancer charity, FORCE.

The Great Devon Breakfast last year raised £10,000 across 17 different venues and the event, supported by Gilbert Stephens LLP, will be held at St Olaves Hotel located on Mary Arches Street, Exeter, at 8am. Breakfast costs just £8 and includes a full English with tea or coffee and organisers hope it will help raise around £500 for the local charity.

We are very grateful to them for their continued support of FORCE, and of this event in particular. Both of the Gilbert Stephens events attracted a mix of people from a variety of professions, and it was clear that everyone enjoyed catching up with colleagues and business acquaintances over a tasty ‘Full English’.

“We would be delighted if other businesses followed the example of Gilbert Stephens and got involved with our ‘Great Devon Breakfast’ – but we are also looking for individuals who would like to host an event.

“Could you organise a breakfast in your home, school, staff room, office, village hall, local coffee shop, pub or restaurant? The venue is up to you – as is the date, who you invite and what food you provide. It could be coffee and croissants, bacon butties, smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and Champagne or the full English….

“The success of the ‘Great Devon Breakfast’ lies in the fact that it’s so flexible. The official FORCE dates for the ‘Great Devon Breakfast 2014’ are 5 April and 20 September, however you are free to choose any date that suits you.
