City leaders answer business questions
Business people are being given the opportunity to question the city’s top leaders at events hosted by Exeter Chamber of Commerce, the city’s leading business organisation.
On Friday 6th July Exeter MP, Ben Bradshaw, will brief Chamber members on the latest decisions from Westminster which will impact their businesses and take part in a question and answer session.
Mr Bradshaw said: “I am pleased to be able to address the business community through the Chamber of Commerce – the event is another route by which I can hear from constituents and ensure that I am representing their views at national level.”
On Friday 13 July, Karime Hassan, chief executive and growth director of Exeter City Council will meet with businesses and will discuss key development issues in the city, the Heart of the South West Council’s Productivity Plan, the Greater Exeter Strategic Plan and the emerging strategic issues for the city region, including the city’s economic ambition and vision for the city.
Mr Hassan said: “Private and public-sector collaboration is vital for the success of any city – we value input and feedback from business people and learn from their vision for Exeter’s future. I look forward to hearing Chamber member’s views on our proposals.”
Exeter Chamber vice president, Derek Phillips, said: “Exeter Chamber is pleased to host two of the most powerful leaders in Exeter within the space of one week and to give our members the opportunity to challenge, question and work with them.”
