The Devon Tourism Partnership, which promotes Devon under the 'Visit Devon' brand, is currently determining the future direction of the county’s promotion, domestically and internationally, and looking for businesses to tell them where they’d like their efforts concentrated.

The Devon Tourism Partnership is funded by the various tourism partnerships around the county and has a small budget of £35,000 pa, following funding cuts over the last few years. The Tourism Partnership receives no additional income of its own.

Victoria Hatfield, Chair of Visit Devon, said: "Visit Devon is a strong and valuable brand, it doesn’t have many resources available to attract new and repeat visitors to the county.

"Much of our resource is on goodwill and a voluntary basis, so we’re keen to know what businesses feel best helps their needs.

"Tourism in Devon is vital to the county supporting over 72,000 jobs and making up to 14% of all employment in Devon, so it’s important we get this right.”

Businesses are being asked to complete a survey on where and how they would like to see the county promoted.

Any business that hasn’t been approached but would like to take part should contact simonwhittam@visitdevon.co.uk.

The survey closes on Tuesday 26 May 2015.
