Exeter accountants celebrate 25th birthday
Business owners and directors from 160 companies met at an historic West Country setting to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Exeter firm Sidaways Chartered Accountants.
The Chapter House at Exeter Cathedral was the historic venue for the celebration event, which was also helping to raise money for the company’s charity partner, Devon-based Farms for City Children.
Jeremy and Sarah Sidaway started the business, now based at Pynes Hill in Exeter, in 1990. Today, there are 10 employees and over 650 clients, across the South West and beyond.
“We are very grateful to everyone who celebrated our special landmark with us,” said Jeremy.
“It was an incredible setting for a lovely gathering, with clients who have become friends over the years able to join us.”
A raffle raised close to £400 for Farms for City Children, whose fundraising manager Tracey Izod was at the event, held on Thursday (June 11).
She said: “It was a wonderful occasion. We are delighted that Sidaways have adopted Farms for City Children as its charity partner for the company’s anniversary year. The team have been out to see our main Devon centre and are busy raising funds, so more children from cities across the UK can experience living and working together on a farm.”
The cathedral, along with Sidaways clients Ashburton Deli and Peck and Strong in Crediton, provided food for the event.
