Mattie Richardson, Bunyip Beads; James Clark, Marks & Spencer; Patrick Cunningham, Exeter Phoenix; Wayne Pearce, Princesshay; Helen Scholes, Stagecoach and David Goodchild, Exeter Cavern Club met this week for the first time as new board directors of the Exeter BID Company.

They will be joined at future meetings by fellow directors Echo editor Jon-Paul Hedge, Ben Barlaba, The LXS Centre Stage; Stephen Auty, Specsavers and Jonathan Boatfield, Cadastre as well as by stakeholder board members representing Exeter Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Exeter City Council and Devon County Council.

The new board expect to be able to announce a new chair next week.

Original board members Derek Phillips, Ben de Cruz and Graham Austin who saw the BID through to fruition resigned from their posts at last week’s meeting to hand over to the new team.

The Exeter BID Company is currently reviewing applications for the role of CEO, who will work closely with retailers, stakeholders and city centre businesses to deliver the plans outlined in the BID business plan.
