I’m very proud to win the award and would like to thank my colleagues at SWH for the great support they have given me over the last 21 years.”
At the same ceremony, Sammy Martin from Bridgwater, Somerset was named the Most Promising Apprentice after joining the Civil Engineering Advanced Apprenticeship Programme with Swindon-based HOCHTIEF (UK) Construction.

The skill and innovation demonstrated by these dedicated professionals will be crucial to optimising the value to the region of the planned infrastructure programme in the south west. There hasn’t been a better time to think about joining the civil engineering industry.”
All winners received a certificate and cheque for £500.
