Exeter-based Trinity Fire & Security Systems has secured a new 10-year contract to maintain a number of the fire and intruder alarms at the University of Warwick.

The contract was awarded earlier in the year and involved a mobilisation period of four months, which was headed by Mobilisation Manager, Simon Hilton.

He said: “This was an outstanding win for Trinity. The contract forms part of a 10-year agreement and we view it very much as a partnership between ourselves and the University.”

The contract currently includes fire alarms and intruder alarms covering both reactive and planned preventative maintenance, with a number of ancillary systems such as fire suppression, sprinklers, deaf alert and disabled refuge systems included. Trinity is providing services to over 200 buildings on the campus, with more coming online all the time.

For this contract, Trinity Fire & Security put together a dedicated team of engineering staff to cover all elements of preventative and reactive maintenance. The team is based on the main University campus in an allocated office, enabling fast response and greater efficiency.

The contract manager is Charandeep Panesar, who has 16 years’ experience in the fire and security sector, and was recruited specifically to head up the team.

Charandeep said: “I’m looking forward to taking over the reins from Simon and carrying on working in partnership with the University of Warwick, ensuring we meet our SLAs and KPIs on this prestigious contract over the next 10 years.”
