‘Stamptember’ at Children’s Hospice South West
Local charity Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) has a new initiative for September. The charity is encouraging supporters to donate postage stamps to help raise funds for the charity’s three children’s hospices in the region.
All kinds of stamps can be donated; new, old, used and collectable. Large quantities of stamps can be sold online to collectors, and the money raised will help the hospices to provide support and care for local children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
Collection post boxes will be stationed at all CHSW charity shops across the region including its Exeter Sidwell Street shop, as well as at its Little Bridge House hospice in North Devon.
The charity is hoping to raise between £4000-£5000 from the ‘Stamptember’ initiative and Chris Cameron, Ecommerce Manager for CHSW said: “There is still great value in stamps and throughout September we would like to encourage as many people as possible to donate any stamps they may have and donate them to us. This is a simple and cost free way of supporting the charity and will help us in continuing to offer care and support to local children and families.”
Stamps of any quantity can be dropped into the post box collection points, or you are welcome to post them directly to Little Bridge House.
CHSW offers respite and palliative care for children with life-limiting conditions as well as their families. Little Bridge House is open 365 days a year and all care is offered completely free of charge to families.
