Local business launches new CCTV service for schools and small businesses in the West Country
A South West-based communications company is now offering a brand new CCTV service to local organisations looking to maximise their security and efficiency.
Equations Voice and Data, with offices in Devon and Somerset, has been providing telephone systems and technology to businesses, schools, medical practices and professional service providers across the South West for more than 25 years, and has now extended its offering to CCTV.
Recent research has shown that the appearance of CCTV on business premises can potentially reduce the chances of would-be thieves attempting a robbery, whilst also provide vital evidence for the police to identify criminals and bring them to justice.
Director of Equations Voice and Data, Tom Pearce explained: “There were more than 175,000 burglaries across the UK in 2018, which is a staggering 19 every hour of the day. It’s important for schools and local businesses to stay vigilant, and CCTV can play a vital role, not only in the identification of the culprits but also in the prevention of any crime, too.”
Other businesses have actively used CCTV for general health and safety or to improve overall efficiency.
Tom added: “As a business owner or head teacher you can’t be everywhere at once. Knowing when deliveries are arriving, when unauthorised individuals are on site or being able to identify issues remotely can all have a positive impact on the overall performance of the organisation. CCTV can, of course, also give peace of mind that all is well when you’re not on site, too!”
