Foodies In Exeter: InExeter enables city businesses to exhibit at Food Festival
InExeter (the city Business Improvement District) has given the opportunity for city businesses to exhibit at the highly regarded Exeter Food Festival of South West Food & Drink taking place at Exeter Castle and Northernhay Gardens from 5 – 7 May 2018.
The team at InExeter has arranged for sought-after exhibition spaces to be made available at the Exeter Food Festival for local Business Improvement District businesses enabling them to reach up to 20,000 festival goers. Chococo, Eat Your Greens, Rolys Fudge and the Real Food Company will be among those exhibiting free of charge, at this year’s Food Festival.
Liv from Chococo said: “The Exeter Food Festival is such a big event for the city and it’s a real privilege to be part of it this year. We will be showcasing some of our beautiful chocolate– and we invite everyone to come and try. This isn’t something we’d have done without the support of InExeter and we’re very grateful for the opportunity.”
A Carnival of Animals
InExeter is also delighted to be sponsoring Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum’s 150th anniversary celebrations including the Carnival of Animals on Saturday 21April. The spectacular Carnival complete with huge animal puppets, live music and performers will begin at Exeter Cathedral and then travel through the streets of Exeter finishing at the RAMM.
Ann Hunter, InExeter manager, says: “Exeter is blessed with plenty of amazing cultural and community events that bring local people and visitors into the city centre, driving higher footfall and providing great experiences that encourage people to return. It is imperative for InExeter to support these events and to facilitate close links between them and the wide variety of city centre businesses. We are proud to be involved with so many of the fantastic events happening in Exeter this year and are looking forward to seeing lots of visitors to our great city.”
InExeter is also sponsoring Exeter Street Arts Festival and Big Screen in the Park in August and Exeter Community Transport Association providing a range of Shopmobility vehicles enabling access into the city for anyone with disabilities and an important Ring and Ride service.
