6,000 Exeter fans head to Anfield
More than 6,000 Exeter City fans will be making the 250 mile journey to Liverpool today as the sides battle for an Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round place at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp has said that he will field a similar side to that which faced the Grecians at St James Park eleven days ago. This will be the first time City have visited Anfield since 1981.
The match will be shown live on BT Sport; City were previously on the channel in the First Round of this season's competition, when they won at Didcot Town.
Grecians manager Paul Tisdale said: "As much as we were delighted with the draw [in the first match against Liverpool], it was tinged slightly by the fact that we had the lead with fifteen minutes to go. But, being a football manager, you move onto the next very quickly. If you reflect too much on a match, you're in trouble, so we had to put it behind us for the two league games. We're all very proud of the way the club conducted itself in that first game, and there will be six thousand Exeter City supporters going, so we've all got to enjoy it.
PARKING
Please note this message from Merseyside Police:
Can all Exeter supporter coaches who are attending at Anfield for the FA Cup replay please park on Priory Road, Liverpool, L4. Parking is free and a 5 minute walk to the turnstiles. Due to limited space, precedence will be given to coaches over mini buses. There are several fee paying carparks near to the stadium. The streets around Anfield are for residents parking only and are strictly enforced by the council.
