Someone somewhere in the city next month is going to have a monopoly - on Exeter MONOPOLY.

That's because they will get their hands on the very first board in the city.

The game officially launches at 10am in the heart of the Cathedral city at a venue to be announced.

It is to be a public event and the whole city is being invited to the launch!

But before then one person is going to get their hands on the much-anticipated official board.

They will be presented with it by Mr MONOPOLY, the board’s moustached (and costumed) icon, at 9am on October 14th -Exeter MONOPOLY launch date – and it will be wrapped in top secret paper.

They won't be allowed to open it until 10am when the official launch takes place – or face the MONOPOLY jail!

The lucky person will be picked from random via the official Exeter MONOPOLY Facebook page.

The question will hinge on a question about the knowledge of Exeter’s loved ‘RAMM’ museum: The Royal Albert Memorial Museum. The Museum WILL feature on the new board after polling “extremely high” in the public voting, report the board’s makers. This is announced for the first time today and the square as it will appear on the new board is pictured here (attached).

Entries to win start from Thursday at : www.facebook.com/exetermonopoly

The new board will be available at all good toy and book stores from October 14th at Argos, Smyths, Waterstones and WH Smith. The board will also be very widely available online, including Amazon.co.uk

it has already been revealed that the Exeter Chiefs can be bought for £150 on the board. http://www.theexeterdaily.co.uk/news/business-daily-local-news-sport/exeter-chiefs-sale-there-catch
