Just a week after revealing their new home shirt for the 2015/16 season, Exeter Chiefs and Samurai Sportswear have today officially launched the club’s eye-catching cup kit.

Set for its first outing in Thursday's Singha Premiership Rugby 7s at Gloucester's Kingsholm Stadium, the orange and black Iconix™ rugby match shirt will also be sported by Rob Baxter’s side in all of their European Champions Cup fixtures and comes with a host of new features, including high performance 4D fabric for improved fit and comfort.

Worn around the world and boasting a sleek style for both players and supporters alike, the state-of-the-art shirt also includes bicep sculptured sleeves; tailored waist and droptail, as well as an integral GPS pouch.

As well as the official logos for both the Chiefs and Samurai Sportswear, all playing shirts will again carry the Exeter City crest, together with the branding of a number of the club’s major sponsors – SW Comms, Watson Fuels, Centrax, Flybe, Astley Media, Frobishers Juices, Otter Brewery and the Contract Hire Supermarket.

Rob Baxter, Head Coach of the Chiefs, said: “I think our supporters are now well versed in the fact that we like to make a bit of a bold statement with our cup kits. Over the years we've had all different colours, including the famous pink, and it's something that I know makes us stand out a little bit from the other clubs.

"I think the new kit will again prove very popular with our supporters, particularly as we find ourselves back in the Champions Cup again this season. Again we've had very good dialogue with Samurai in regards both the design and the features it has to offer - and I'm looking forward to seeing the guys wearing it out on the pitch."

Samurai’s Sales Director Mike Humble said: "We are proud to have provided some truly iconic Cup shirts for Exeter over the years and it is a fantastic opportunity for our design team to be creative and do what they do best, produce eye catching kits that both players and supporters will love.”

Caroline Orr, marketing director for one of the sponsors, Astley Media, said: "In what will be a fantastic year for rugby we wanted to get behind the Chiefs and show our support and appreciation for everything they have done for this wonderful city of ours."

Supporters will be able to get their hands on all of the club's new shirts shortly through the club’s official Trading Post and also online.
