Crash causes rush hour delays in Exeter
A collision on Pinhoe Road caused delays in Exeter on Monday evening (21 December).
The incident, involving a tractor and trailer, happened at around 5pm near Warwick Way.
One fire engine from Middlemoor was sent to deal with the incident.
Upon arrival, crews found a tractor and trailer involved in a collision, with a large amount of animal food spilt all over the highway and pavement.
Crews requested the use of the fire dog to check the animal feed in case anyone was trapped underneath the animal feed. The fire dog searched the food but did not find anyone trapped.
The tractor driver was taken to hospital by ambulance, suffering head injuries.
Pinhoe Road was closed near the Warwick Way junction at 7.30pm. The road reopened just after 11.30pm.
