Drivers warned of overnight closures at Alphington junction
Overnight closures will be needed at the Alphington junction of the A30 next month (September) while essential resurfacing work is carried out.
The roundabout will be partially closed for four nights from Tuesday 4 September to Friday 7 September.
The westbound on and off-slips will be closed from 7pm on Tuesday 4 September, until 6am the following day. The closure will switch to the eastbound on and off-slips on the evenings of Wednesday 5 September and Thursday 6 September. The final overnight closure, on Friday 7 September, will again close the westbound on and off-slips. Each night a different part of the roundabout will be closed.
The roundabout and on and off-slips will be fully open during the daytime.
A series of fully signed diversion routes will be in place throughout the work.
Highways England will also have variable message signs is use on the A30 and M5 to advise motorists of the closures.
