A director is being sought to lead the development of culture in the city.

The new role, created by Exeter Cultural Partnership and hosted by the University of Exeter, offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to implement a strategy that will fulfil the city’s long term ambition of becoming a leading cultural destination.

The post holder will be tasked with achieving the goals set out within the Cultural Action Plan for Exeter, drawing on the shared sense of vision, enthusiasm and commitment from the city’s cultural organisations.

Working alongside cultural agencies and other bodies on regional, national and international scale, the Culture Director will implement communications, fundraising and investment strategies that will facilitate the growth of creative opportunities in the city and energise the sector.

Jay Milling, Chair of the Exeter Cultural Partnership said: "This is a hugely exciting time for our city. There is a spirit of positivity and collaboration amongst its cultural organisations which, with strategic leadership, will result in a much richer cultural life for anyone living, working in and visiting Exeter."

Further details of the post are available via the Exeter Cultural Partnership website: www.exeterculturalpartnership.co.uk
