Exeter shop worker left blind in one eye after assault

Police are keen to trace three men who may have information vital to a police investigation following a serious assault in Exeter.

On Monday 7 August 2017 at approximately 9.10pm, three men entered The Co-Operative store on Alphington Road, Exeter.

The men were asked to leave the store by an employee. One of the men then punched the member of staff a number of times before leaving the store and running off with the other two other men in the direction of Waterloo Road. 

As a result of the assault the store employee has lost the sight in one eye and suffered a number of fractures to his eye socket.

DC Heidi Voaden is asking for anyone who has knowledge of the incident or recognises the men in the images to please make contact with police as they may have information which can assist in the investigation.

DC Voaden said: “The victim has been left with life changing injuries in what was an unprovoked attack on a member of staff doing his job. I ask that anyone with information to please contact us.”
