Another weather warning has been put in place for Devon as temperatures continue to drop.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for ice from 9pm tonight through to 9am tomorrow (Tuesday 19 January).

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “After a very wet morning some surfaces will remain wet due to run off and seepage on Monday night and Tuesday morning.

“With temperatures expected to fall close to or below freezing this is likely to lead to some icy patches forming.

“Please be aware that this may lead to some low level disruption to travel.”

The  five day regional forecast is as follows:

Rather cloudy overnight before sunny spells develop on Tuesday.

This Evening and Tonight:
Any lingering light rain will fade, leaving a mostly dry night with cloudy skies. However clear spells are expected to develop in the east, allowing temperatures to drop off. Minimum Temperature 0°C.

Tuesday:
After a cloudy start, sunny spells will start to take over through the morning, giving some prolonged sunshine into the afternoon with light winds persisting. Maximum Temperature8°C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
It will be largely dry through Wednesday and Thursday, with occasional winter sunshine, before a band of rain pushes in from the west on Friday. Temperatures rising by Friday.
