Traditionally known as Ladies Do Latte, new network owners, Christelle Johnstone and Ashley Petrons, unveiled the new brand on Tuesday 17 May at Café Rouge. The occasion was the official launch of the new Ladies Do Exeter network, which also has branches in South and East Devon.

The Ladies Do network, set up in 2010 by image consultant, Jo Smallbones, attracts a broad range of professional women, who span from full time employed to small business owners.

Owner, Ashley Petrons said “we were thrilled that choosing a location in the middle of Exeter city centre brought forward such a wide range of women. This fantastic mix of entrepreneurs and highly skilled professional ladies filled the newly opened function space in Café Rouge and breathed life into our new motto #strengthinnumbers.”

Whilst enjoying canapés and fizz, attendees heard from Maureen Gori de Murden. In her role as Senior Economy & Tourism Officer and Exeter City Council, Maureen is privy to all the exciting growth plans taking place over the next 20 years in Exeter.

Co-owner, Christelle, commented “it went down really well to have a speaker focusing on the what we can expect in Exeter over the next two decades. Maureen painted a great picture that left us all buzzing about what a fantastic city this is to live and work in, which was our hope when we approached her to speak.”

Enthusiasm was shared by the attendees, including Katie Jones, owner of Gandy Street based ChoccieBar, who tweeted “brilliant event and really excellent, totally relevant speakers”. Sophie Brookes from Warwick Events said “great night for @Ladies_Do_ - fantastic bunch”. Julia White of Hampton by Hilton shared a photo of Maureen, along with the comment “Great event yesterday with @Ladies_Do_...great talk from @ExeterCouncil”. All these and more can be found on the @Ladies_Do_ Twitter page.

Announced on the night was also the events calendar for the remainder of the year, which includes a huge range of activities, from off road driving to a demo night at Exeter Cookery School.
