Essential resurfacing will be carried out at Longford Lane in Kingsteignton later this month (February).

Work will be carried out during the half term week, starting on Monday 18 February.

The road will be closed each day from 7am to 6pm between Rydon Road and the A383 Ware Cross Roundabout, with the scheme expected to be completed by the end of Friday 22 February.

Councillor Stuart Hughes, Devon County Council Cabinet Member for Highway Management, said: “Resurfacing is being carried out over an extensive section of Longford Lane so every effort has been made to minimise disruption, with work being timed to be carried out during the school holidays.”

Councillor Ron Peart, Devon County Councillor for Kingsteignton and Teign Estuary, said: “I’m pleased that this road is going to be resurfaced. I’ve worked closely with the County Council’s highways officers to make sure this scheme’s done this year and I’m sure everyone who uses it will benefit when it’s finished.”

A signed diversion will be in place via the A383, Newton Road, Gestridge Road, Exeter Road and vice versa.
