Serious crash closes A38 near Exeter
The A38 is closed in both directions following a serious collision involving a lorry near Haldon Hill.
Emergency services were called to the incident at around 6am today (Saturday 9 April).
The road is closed between Harcombe Cross and Chudleigh and police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
A diversion is in place, with large vehicles advised to divert via the A382 and A380, Newton Abbot and Splatford Split. East-bound traffic should follow the solid black diamond diversion symbol west-bound traffic to follow the solid black circle diversion route.
Update: 4.30pm: The A38 has reopened in both directions.
