Hot on the heels of the opening of the new landmark VW dealership at Matford Green Business Park, it has been announced that a deal has been struck with Marshall Motor Holdings plc to develop a new state of the art Audi dealership.

A planning application has just been submitted to Exeter City Council to develop the new 31,000 sq ft dealership.

Paul Withers of Eagle One Group commented: “We are delighted that Marshall has chosen to relocate to Matford Green, following recent moves by VW, Toyota and Lexus.

“This deal cements Matford Green’s position as the top location for new car dealerships in the region, and maintains the area’s status in the sector, understood to be the largest grouping of car dealerships in Europe.

"Many dealership groups are keen to upgrade and ‘future proof’ facilities with larger showrooms and workshops and more extensive car parking facilities. We have a lot more land available and further interest from the automotive, office, industrial and trade sectors."

Daksh Gupta, Chief Executive of Marshall Motor Holdings plc, said: “The relocation of our existing Audi dealership in Exeter represents a substantial investment for Marshall and demonstrates our commitment to both Audi and to the Exeter region.  When completed in 2016, it will offer our employees and customers a fantastic new facility and we look forward to working with both Exeter City Council and Eagle One through the planning and construction process."

Matford Green Business Park benefits from planning consent for 500,000 sq ft of employment accommodation.  Buildings can be made available on a freehold or leasehold basis; alternatively, freehold development plots can be purchased.

The VW dealership opened at the beginning of August.

The new Toyota and Lexus dealership is currently under construction and due to open at Easter 2016.

The site is being marketed through agents Alder King and Colliers International.
