TEDxExeter 2019 ticket release date announced
Organisers of TEDxExeter, the leading South West ideas festival, have announced that tickets for its eighth annual event will soon be released for sale.
Tickets for the much-anticipated day will be available from 10am on Friday 30th November 2018 via ticket website Eventbrite.
The event, which usually sells out in minutes, will take place on Friday 5th April 2019 at Exeter’s Northcott Theatre. Interested attendees are encouraged to act fast to avoid disappointment.
Claire Kennedy, licensee and curator of TEDxExeter, said: “We are already making great progress for the 2019 event and are really excited about what we have planned so far. We are in talks with speakers from all corners of the globe to bring together a phenomenal lineup and are looking forward to sharing this with sponsors and press at our launch event in February.
“TEDxExeter has, to a large extent, always been a victim of its own success; the demand for tickets is always so high that the morning tickets go on sale is always overwhelming. We have taken on board feedback from previous events and feel that this year’s ticketing arrangements are the best way for us to handle the anticipated demand.
“Tickets for our 2019 event are going on sale as we reach the milestone of 20 million online views for talks from the first seven years of TEDxExeter – a real tribute to the calibre of speakers who have graced our red dot and more proof of how ideas from our event here in Exeter have truly spread around the world.”
Tickets to attend the 2019 event live in the Northcott Theatre will cost £80, while tickets for the livestream in Exeter University’s Alumni Auditorium will be £25. These prices include a sustainably sourced vegetarian lunch, served in the Great Hall, as well as morning and afternoon refreshments.
A limited number of VIP tickets, including an invitation to the TEDxExeter 2019 launch event, post-event drinks and a photo on the famous red dot, will be on sale for £160.
There will also be free viewing events of a livestream from the Northcott at venues across the city, including Exeter Library, the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, the Exeter Phoenix arts centre and CoLab.
