Tony Hogg resigns from Tory party in protest
Tony Hogg, the current Tory Police & Crime Commissioner for Devon and Cornwall has resigned from the Tory party in protest at his treatment as PCC.
He now strongly believes that the PCC role should be held by someone without political affiliations so that they can act and speak freely on behalf of the public they serve. He is standing down as PCC.
6 candidates are running in the May 5 elections, 4 of them for major political parties. His public letter is embarrassing to the Tories as he is openly critical of them.
The photo shows the 6 candidates at a husting in Honiton.
