Top award for Stagecoach SW employee
A Stagecoach South West employee was among the winners at the annual Stagecoach Group Champions Awards.
The awards – now in their sixth year – recognise excellence over six areas including Safety, Health, Community, Customer Service, Environment and Innovation.
At this year’s ceremony Stagecoach South West employee Toby Kay was awarded the Bronze Safety Champion award.
Winners at the event represented Stagecoach Group’s bus, rail, tram and coach businesses in Europe and North America. All received a trophy, cash prize and a two night stay in London incorporating the award ceremony.
Toby was recognised for his contribution to road safety through his involvement with the Institute of Advanced Motorists and his work to help educate the public and road users about the challenges experienced by bus drivers.
Stagecoach South West Managing Director Bob Dennison said: “I am delighted for Toby and would like to congratulate him on winning this award which is thoroughly deserved.
“Toby makes a real difference to our business and to our customers every day and I would like to thank him, and our many other hard-working staff, for the part they play in delivering high-quality services to our passengers.”
Around 125 Stagecoach employees have been presented with Champions Awards over the past six years.
