Taylor Wimpey proud to support Exeter Ladies’ Water Polo
Taylor Wimpey Exeter have helped the ladies’ team at Exeter Water Polo Club run swimmingly with a £500 donation towards their first national competition.
The club, based at Pyramids Swimming and Leisure Centre was founded in 1896. Their men’s, ladies’ and youth teams compete locally, regionally and nationally, with the ladies’ team making their debut on the national stage in August last year. In order to help with league fees and expenses, Taylor Wimpey donated £500, which has helped the team gain confidence as they represent Exeter on a wider platform.
Taylor Wimpey is currently building new homes in Exeter at its Riverside Walk development, which launches in Spring 2020. Located in the Countess Wear area, the development will bring a selection of two, three and four bedroom homes to the outskirts of the city, ideal for families and first time buyers.
Jenny Herring, captain of the ladies’ team at Exeter Water Polo Club, said: “This is the first time in the history of the club that the ladies have made it to a national platform. We have a strong team of determined players, which has allowed us to now be first place in the league. We are so grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their generous sponsorship; many of us are students and so we simply couldn’t afford the cost of the fees and other expenses without their help.”
Melissa Langton, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: “We’re really proud to have sponsored the ladies’ water polo team with £500 towards their first season in the national league. We’re aware that this is a first for the team to be recognised at this level, and it is a real honour to be able to support them as they go from strength to strength. We wish the team the very best of luck in training and for all future tournaments."
Taylor Wimpey’s Riverside Walk development is located off Wear Barton Road, Exeter, Devon, EX2 7EH. For more information and to register interest, visit http://www.taylorwimpey.com or call 01392 301385.
