BBC Estate Agent reality star joins online agent
eMoov.co.uk has announced the recruitment of Lewis Rossiter as their latest Local Property Director for the South West region. If you would like to see the moment Lewis decided to join the eMoov ranks, you can watch the video here.
Lewis originates from a high street background, previously working as the Branch Manager for Bradleys estate agents in Exeter, where he rose to fame as the hit star of BBC reality TV series “Under Offer: Estate Agents on the Job”.
Lewis recently went on to co-host ‘All About Property’ with Gabby Logan on BBC Radio 5 Live, the first radio show solely dedicated to all things property. With series two returning this Easter, he will once again join the discussion as the go to property expert in the South West, continuing to comment regularly for both TV and radio in the meantime.
With an All Agent ranking of 15 from some 48,000 individual estate agents and the award for ‘Best Customer Experience’ of all estate agents in Exeter, Lewis’s will be well placed at eMoov. The customer service centric company have won the All Agents ‘Best Customer Experience’ award two years on the bounce and are ranked fourth out of over 25,000 estate agents in the UK, from both the online and high street sectors.
eMoov have already attracted a number of experienced estate agents as fully employed LPDs across the UK. This latest high profile defection to the online sector highlights the growing realisation within the property sector, that the online model is not only here to stay, but is the future of estate agency.
With Lewis on board eMoov not only builds on this expanding network of LPDs, providing face to face valuations, photography, floor plans and property advice to UK homeowners, but also compliments an already heavyweight media and PR team – arguably the best in the online sector.
eMoov has been recruiting local property experts across the nation to ensure we have someone on hand to answer your questions and provide you with an accurate valuation, so you make the most of your property’s selling potential. eMoov lists properties for sale on all the major online property portals, including Rightmove and Zoopla, charging a flat rate fee of £595 or a no sale no fee option. On average eMoov were found to save home-sellers £4,200 in estate agency fees on the sale of their home.
With the average house price in Exeter costing £261,429 and high street estate agents charging a fee of around £4,700 (1.5%+VAT), Lewis could save Exeter homeowners over £4,000 in fees on the sale of their property.
eMoov Local Property Director for the South West, Lewis Rossiter, commented: “I’m extremely excited about this new chapter and what it may bring. I wouldn’t quite say I’m jumping ship from the sinking HMS High Street, but now my time with Bradleys has come to an end, it is certainly time to pivot away from a dated sector and look towards the future. I’ve always been an advocate of digital disruption if it translates into a better outcome for the customer. I’ve had my eye on the online model for quite some time now and look forward to working for eMoov, within a forward thinking sector, putting the consumer first.
It’s also refreshing to find a company that places as much importance on the media opportunities open to me, as the top service I can provide to sellers in the South West as their eMoov LPD. I’ve certainly found that at eMoov and, with the best in-house PR in the sector, it was a no brainer for me to make the move over.”
Founder and CEO of eMoov.co.uk, Russell Quirk, commented: “We’re delighted to have Lewis on board both as an LPD and to provide additional industry insight as an eMoov media spokesman. Like myself, Lewis has experienced the ins and outs of the high street sector and enjoyed a lot of success in doing so, particularly within the media spot light. So it speaks volumes that Lewis has decided to make the move to the online sector. I believe his contagious mix of charisma when commenting to the media and his wealth of local property knowledge, will make him an invaluable member of the growing eMoov family.”
