Bluebird Care Exeter celebrates award win

Local homecare provider, Bluebird Care Exeter & East Devon has been named as the overall winner in the Employer of The Year category at the 2016 Express & Echo Business Awards.

“We have a fantastic team of staff and are bowled over daily by their dedication and hard work. We really do value them and the care and support they provide in our local communities; they are the embodiment of our passion for care in the local community. 

To be recognised as Employer of the Year is an amazing achievement for us, it really does show how rewarding a career in the Care industry with Bluebird Care can be!” said William Flint, Director of Bluebird Care Exeter & East Devon.

The Express & Echo Business Awards began in 2010 and showcase the talent, dedication and innovation of staff and organisations from across Exeter and the surrounding area in a variety of sectors. Bluebird Care were the only homecare provider to be recognised at the award ceremony which took place at Sandy Park on Friday 8th April 2016.

William and Sara Flint, owners of Bluebird Care Exeter & East Devon accepted the award from category sponsors the Pavey Group and BBC Broadcaster Judi Spiers. William and Sara were cheered on by staff members Jacqueline Fyall, Jasmine Broome, Lydia Ward and Sophia Rolfe.

Other categories awarded on the night included Tourism/Hospitality Business of the Year, Creative Business of the Year and Small Business of the Year.

Sophia Rolfe, Live In Service Manager for Bluebird Care Exeter & East Devon said: “It is really nice to work for a company who are so committed to recognising the hard work of all their staff. It has meant a great deal to the whole team to win this award and for all of our hard work to be recognised” Jasmine Broome, Registered Manager in their East Devon office added “Winning this award reinforces to our staff that they, along with our customers are at the centre of the business planning, at every level”.

Bluebird Care has continually differentiated itself from other local providers by providing not only outstanding care to its customers across Exeter and East Devon but for their industry leading employee benefit and engagement initiatives, which have now been recognised in this latest award.
