Burts Chips celebrates success at Made in the South West awards

Premium snack brand, Burts Chips, is celebrating after scooping two awards at the prestigious Made in the South West Awards which took place last night at The Bristol Hotel. Fending off stiff competition the Plymouth-based company won the Food & Drink Award as well as Manufacturer of the Year Award in the over £25m category.

Recognised for a year of incredible growth and achievement, the judges were impressed by the company’s ambition and innovation within a crowded marketplace.

With an impressive Burts Snacks turnover of £46m, Burts has been producing award-winning potato chips for over 24 years and prides itself on the quality of its local ingredients. As well as its core portfolio of nine delicious flavours, the snack brand has continued to grow its innovative ‘Better For You’ healthier range and also collaborated this year with the world’s number one Bourbon brand, Jim Beam, to launch Original BBQ Crisps.
